Making something you want to make, while also something many other want to see, can be a really fickle situation sometimes.
Sometimes you don't know what people want, sometimes people don't know what they want themselves.
And other times people can absolutely adore something you made as a cheap joke, and then completely ignore something you put buttloads of time, blood, sweat and tears into. It's tricky man.
Making stuff that's just fun to make, mostly leaves the best after-taste for the long run though, imo.
And there's always services and deals to be made to aquire a simple digital pad without much money. Just gotta be determined and look/ask around for a while.
